Awards start to roll in!: L.A. County Fair's 'Los Angeles International Wine Competition' (the largest and oldest Fair wine competition in the U.S.) released its results this weekend, and we did very well: GOLD MEDAL was awarded to our 2005 Estate Pinot Noir and BEST OF CLASS: Domestic Medium was awarded to our 2006 Clos Pepe Estate Olive Oil. The Olive Oil has been sold out for months, but the 2005 Pinot Noir is still available at the store, by phone or by order form. The 2005 Pinot Noir just received 92 point rating from redwinebuzz.com as well.

Shipping Update: We have halted shipping for Summer, which means no shipments this week. Wine shipments will commence as weather cools or harvest ends. If you have pending orders to be shipped, expect shipping to recommence late October/early November. Feel free to contact us for pickups or to discuss shipments.
Please remember that we are nearing the end of shipping season, and wines purchased through the store will be held and guaranteed available until a time that is suitable for shipping or pick up. We endeavor to deliver perfectly sound wine, and will not ship when the weather gets hot. Thanks for your pateince and understanding.
June 11th: The Allocation Barrel Tasting is scheduled for the first two saturdays in August, the 4th nd 11th, 2 to 5 pm by invitation only. If you are on the List and did not receive an invitation, please email Wes at wes@clospepe.com.
Website Update (June 11th, 2007) We plan to have the new website and store up and running by the August Barrel Tasting so we can start taking pre-orders of the 2006 vintage. We hope to make it far more useful for List members so you can check purchases, track orders, etc. etc.
April 26th, 2007: First Checks from Fund Delivered to Cisneros and Reyes Families:
We made the first distribution from the Fund to the two families on Friday, April 20. We have already received over $12,000, and we distributed a little over $6,000 to each of the families. The generosity and kindness of our producers, customers and friends have been remarkable, and we thank all who have contributed. These contributions will make a difference to the families -- and we are honored that so many of you chose to honor Ramon and Rogelio this way. June 11th , 2007: "On the Lamb--Ewe Haven't Seen Anything Yet!"
Clos Pepe Vineyards is thrilled to announce our first birth here on the property! Matilda, our brave ewe, gave birth to a single, seemingly healthy (we're a bit new to this) ewe lamb early this morning while we slept. The yet-unnamed lamb is standing, walking, following mama closely, and we think she's feeding. So far so good! Thanks to Chanda for all of her hard work and dedication to our wild and woolly friends.
